This Scorpio, St. James Government Secondary School graduate is known for his love of football and music and enjoys a great pelau or macaroni pie.
Kirk started at the Rent-A-Amp Sound Company training to be a joiner building boxes and cases and then worked his way up to become a stage engineer working at some of the biggest shows and concerts in Trinidad and Tobago like Kiskidee Karavan and Pan Jazz.
In 1998, Kirk left his present job to join soca band Qwestion as their monitor engineer. In 2000, he received an invitation from Xtatik’s management to become a member of the band. He accepted that position and spent the first two years as their stage technician before being promoted to Monitor Engineer.

Worked at Rent-A-Amp Sound Company training to be a joiner building boxes and cases.
Got first break when the owner of the company wanted an extra hand to set up for a concert. Started as a roadie (that’s someone who lifts and puts equipment in position for the technical staff). After a period of time, I gained some technical knowledge of the music industry and moved up to the status of stage technician.
As a stage technician, I worked at most of the major shows and concerts in Trinidad and Tobago:

o Air Supply
o MC Hammer
o Boys II Men
o Hall and Oats
o C&C Music Factory
o Shabba Ranks
o Helen Baylor
o Kirk Franklin
o Barrington Levy
o Colour Me Badd
Within the Caribbean:
o St. Lucia Jazz Festival
o St. Lucia Country Festival
o St. Kitts Music Festival
I even got the opportunity to do various Carnival shows in the some Caribbean countries such as:
o Antigua
o St. Kitts
o St. Vincent
o St. Maarteen
o Barbados
o Jamaica
1998
Left Rent-A-Amp Sound Company and joined a soca band by the name of Qwestion featuring Ajala and Ghetto Flex as their Monitor Engineer. I toured to New York , Bahamas , Canada and England with this group.
2000
Did some House Engineering for 3Canal in the month of August in California .
2000-2003
Got an invitation from Xtatik’s management to join their band. The position was that of stage technician. Spent the first two years as their stage technician before I was promoted to Monitor Engineer in the year 2003.
