Mauri originally hails from Canada, but has lived in Trinidad and Tobago since the age of two, moving to Tobago at the age of five.

 Mauri is the visual effects coordinator for Xtatik's live shows. For the past year he has also been studio Engineer/Producer at Ed Gordon Recording Studio.

 Starting in music at the age of seven, performing his own composition at Shaw Park for an NJAC calypso competition. He then went on to perform in numerous other competitions and talent shows in the years to come, including but not exclusive to; 12 and under at the age
 of 11 and Scouting for talent at the age of 14.

 At 15 he went to Canada and learned to play guitar, by 18 Mauri had began working as an engineer/producer at KMP music lab with Kenny Phillips in South Trinidad.

 Moving back to Tobago he produced several songs with his group Vengeance Crew gaining air-play in Tobago and local recognition.

 In early 2003 Mauri decided it was time to take his engineering skills to the next level and studied audio engineering at Recording Arts Canada in Ontario, Canada.

 Upon returning from the cold Mauri got an opportunity to work with the legendary Machel Montano and Xtatik and has been doing screens for live shows, recording, mixing, song writing and making beats here ever since.

Going by the name Kekere The Rebel, Mauri has performed in the 3 Canal show Jab In The Box for 2005, a show witch aired in Synergy TV for the 2005 Carnival season.

Kekere has also done songs such as:

Kekere has also done many songs on his own beats and co-productions.
